Contracts Engineer

Managing projects in all aspects from initial enquiry to order receipt to project completion. Achieving the required margin on each project through correct management of all aspects. Being flexible in all areas of the role to help achieve our targets and grow the business further.

Candidates must have experience in managing multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously, both from within the office environment and while on site or travelling.

Computer literacy, with experience in Microsoft Excel and Word is essential.  The ability to use Autocad and Microsoft Access would be a bonus but is not essential as training can be given.  

Experience in working within the retail or construction sectors is preferable but not essential.

 

Service Engineer

 

Job Role:

- Servicing and maintaining, commissioning of bespoke air conditioning systems within the United Kingdom.

        Reactive call-outs,

        Site commissioning of Telecommunications units,

        Electrical wiring and interconnecting,

        Planned preventative maintenance,

        Occasional Chiller work,

- Diagnosis of faults to provide information to co-ordinators for the provision of quotes

- Provide technical information as required

- Complete daily job sheets in a timely and accurate manner

- Comply with F Gas legislation – gas usage certificate, gas recover certificate

 

Candidate Spec:

- Must have refrigeration / Air conditioning knowledge

- Electrically qualified

- Have some knowledge of control systems, Satchwell, Trend or Carel

- Most likely have F Gas qualification

Steve Cartledge

With over 28 years expertise working for Weatherite Air Conditioning, Steve is responsible for a team of highly professional, fully trained sales engineers as well as developing three year and annual sales plans aimed at growing profitable sales year on year. Over the years, Steve and his team have grown Weatherite’s customer base substantially whilst also opening new opportunities within a number of new sectors. Steve works very closely with Paul Griffiths, Technical Director, to ensure we’re developing new HVAC solutions the market wants.

Apprentice Service Engineer (with electrical bias)

The position will involve service and commissioning of Air Handling Units.

This will involve working on site and driving a compnay vehicle on occassion, therefore applicants must be over 18 and have a full driving licence.

The apprenticehsip will involve bothe internal training and day realease for attendance at college (as applicable) to obtain the appropriate technical qualification.

Selection will be through assessments (including numeracy and literacy tests) and interview.

The training period will be up to 4 years.

 

 

Apprentice Internal Sales Estimator

Within the Control Panel Section.

This office based role will develop into a supporting role for the Electrical Projects Manager.

The position will ultimately involve estimating, CAD, associated admin and occasional site visits.

Training and development will be largely internal and through short external courses as appropriate.

Selection will be trhough assessments (inlcuding numeracy and literacy tests) and interview.

The training period will be up to 4 years.

Intermediate Estimator

Duties:

Dealing with incoming enquiries

Preparation of estimates and quotations in a timley manner

Responsible for chasing / following up quotes

 

The successful applicant should:

have previous experience in a similar role,

Be computer literate, ideally with expereince of Word, Excel and Outlook,

Be articulate and numerate,

Be able to organise and prioritise workload,

Ideally have experience in aluminium shopfront systems and roller shutters.
