(AutoCad 2d design & detailed draughts person)

 

Working within the Drawing Office, this position will involve the production of G.A drawings and detailed sheet metal parts for manufacture.

This position may suit an experienced sheet metal fabricator who wishes to develop into a CAD designer role. Training will be provided.

Applicants should:

  • be experienced in sheet metal work fabrication
  • have an engineering background
  • experience with CNC sheet metal machining
  • be able to work with minimum supervision and under their own initiative and motivation
  • have excellent communication skills
  • be IT literate
  • be flexible and able to play their part within a team environment
  • have strong communication skills
  • be able to collaborate with others to solve problems
  • in due course, be able to make decisions based on designs.
  • knowledge of air conditioning principles would be advantageous

 

 

HVAC Applications Engineer

This position is office based and will involve:

Providing quotations for various types of air conditioning equipment.

Undertaking design, technical schedules, cost estimations, component selections, energy calculations for new and existing products. 

Using the AHU selection software program to design equipment to meet client specifications.

Processing projects on the ERP system to hand over jobs to allow production of equipment.

Supporting the technical design team with R&D projects.

Upkeep of standard and new product bill of materials on the ERP system.

Upkeep of departmental records and documentation.

Liaising with other departments.

Liaising with clients.

 

Applicants should:

have experience in a similar or related role, e/g account management, design and estimating

have knowledge of or experience in the HVAC /refrigeration industry

have a basic understanding of AHU product and associated services

be comfortable working to tight deadlines, being able to prioritise workloads and work well under pressure with minimum supervision

be computer literate, with good experience in Microsoft Excel and Word.

have excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers.

 

A good understanding of the refrigeration systems would be preferred but not essential as on the job training would be offered.

Control Panel Wirer

To work within the electrical control panel department, duties to include:

  • Manufacture of Control Panels/Baseplates
  • on occasion - Site Upgrade of Control Panels/Baseplates

 

Applicants should:

• Have some experience in the manufacture of control panel/baseplates or similar environment.

• Willing to work on site and out of town on occasions.

• Be confident and able to communicate at all levels.

• Be computer literate.

 

Joe Hendy is Promoted To Senior Sales & Applications Engineer

Joe Hendy has been promoted at Weatherite Air Conditioning to Senior Sales & Applications Engineer, working directly with consultants in the general AHU market. As well as generating enquiries, Joe will be responsible for producing AHU designs, quotations and seeing the project through to handover stage.  Having worked at the company for the past nine years, Joe is an experienced applications engineer and has a plethora of technical experience.

Michael Boyles Gets Promoted!

Weatherite Air Conditioning has promoted Michael Boyles to Sales & Applications Manager. Michael, 45, started at the company in March 2018 and has gone from strength-to-strength. Michael will continue to manage accounts, from quoting new business right through to all customer requirements. Within his new role Michael has also taken on some new accounts including the nationwide portfolio of M&S, Waitrose and JLP, as well as all accounts held in Scotland. 

Vanessa Embleton Becomes Group Financial Director

Vanessa Embleton has been made the company’s Group Financial Director following her recent promotion to Head of Finance in 2018. Vanessa has worked for the company for the past 32 years and started as an Accounts Junior. During her tenure at the company, Vanessa has worked her way through the ranks from starting as an Accounts Clerk to now leading the finance team.

As Group Financial Director, Vanessa is responsible for all things finance-related, providing tailored monthly profit and loss budgets, monthly financial performance reports and comparing actual results to budget. She also produces the year-end accounts and manages day-to-day banking, the Group’s treasury function and working capital managements, whilst ensuring regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met.

Paul Ludlow Retires After 38 years!

Weatherite Air Conditioning’s Key Account Executive, Paul Ludlow aka ‘Lucky’, has retired from the business after nearly four decades of loyal service. Paul has been a huge part of the business for many years and will be sorely missed by everyone who worked with him.

A huge asset, Paul has been instrumental in the company’s success, having managed major retail accounts including M&S and Waitrose, JLP, PRIMARK, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons. More recently, he has been successful in winning significant business in the data centre market, in Dublin and Barcelona, which is set to continue after his departure.  

Paul started at Weatherite when he was 16 years old as an Assembler when Weatherite was based at Mucklows Hill, Halesowen. He quickly worked his way through the ranks in the factory and moved into the offices when the company expanded to Corngreaves Road in the 90s. Paul been an invaluable member of the sales department since and a much respected member of the team.

We all wish Paul a very happy and healthy retirement and all our best wishes for his future.

New Promotion at Weatherite

Weatherite Air Conditioning has promoted Andy Dutton to Production Director.

Andy has worked at the company for over three decades and started in 1989 as a Trainee Sheet Metal Worker.  Andy, 57, is responsible for all aspects of production at Weatherite’s head office in West Bromwich, and manages the process from design to the machine shop and assembly, right through to the enquiring the finished product is completed on time.

Intermediate Contracts Engineer

This is an office-based position and will involve the processing and management of designated projects in line with customer and site requirements.

We are looking to recruit an intermediate level contracts Engineer, who can be developed further into the role.

Applicants should:

Have some knowledge of contracting/commercial procedures and health & safety requirements

Have some previous experience in a similar or related role

Ideally have a basic understanding of AHU equipment

Have a good standard of education

Have excellent communication skills

Be IT literate
