Applications Engineer - HVAC

Sunday, November 28, 2021 This position is office based and will involve:
- Providing quotations for various types of air conditioning equipment.
- Undertaking design, technical schedules, cost estimations, component selections, energy calculations for new and existing products.
- Using the AHU selection software program to design equipment to meet client specifications.
- Processing projects on the ERP system to hand over jobs to allow production of equipment.
- Supporting the technical design team with R&D projects.
- Upkeep of standard and new product bill of materials on the ERP system.
- Upkeep of departmental records and documentation.
- Liaising with other departments.
- Liaising with clients.
Applicants should:
- have experience in a similar or related role, e/g account management, design and estimating
- have knowledge of or experience in the HVAC /refrigeration industry.
- have a basic understanding of AHU product and associated services
- be comfortable working to tight deadlines, being able to prioritise workloads and work well under pressure with minimum supervision
- be computer literate, with good experience in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- have excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers
A good understanding of the refrigeration systems would be preferred but not essential as on the job training would be offered.
