Data Centres & Telcos
IT critical environments including data centres, server rooms, telco switching centres, comms rooms, financial trading and transaction processing centres are examples of areas dependent on the integrity and reliability of energy efficient, support systems.
At Weatherite Air Conditioning we have been supplying data centre/telco cooling solutions for well over 30 years and have thousands of cooling units carrying out critical cooling within establishments’ right across the UK.
With a range of critical IT cooling solutions that include direct free cooling, indirect adiabatic, direct adiabatic, in-row, modular and replacement equipment, whatever the requirement-we can deliver a highly efficient, energy saving, low PUE cooling solution.

WEATHERITE HOOKS BREEAM EXCELLENT AWARD AT RUSHDEN LAKES
When House of Fraser opened its’ new store at the unique Rushden Lakes development in Northamptonshire, it decided to go for the “gold standard” in sustainability - and chose Weatherite Air Conditioning Ltd to design, build and supply the perfect solution.
Rushden Lakes is the UK’s first shopping centre of its kind, combining a superior shopping experience together with the tranquillity of a nature reserve.
Project consultants Downing Blunt specified that the project would be BREEAM Excellent. BREEAM is probably the world’s leading sustainability assessment method. It provides third party certification of an asset’s environmental, social and economic sustainability performance and encourages continuous performance improvement and innovation by setting and assessing against a broad range of scientifically rigorous requirements that go beyond current regulations and practice.
Weatherite responded to the challenge by designing, building and supplying fully packaged Displacement Ventilation Air Handling Units with DX cooling, low NOx gas fired burners (to reduce peak flame temperature and restrict oxygen availability and exposure at peak temperature) and refrigerant leak detection systems. Not only did Weatherite prove to offer the best technical solution, in a competitive tender they also delivered the most competitive price.
Refrigerant leak detection has become an increasingly important requirement in many systems supplied by Weatherite, both because of the F-Gas Regulations and because quick identification of refrigerant gas leaks minimise the cost of having to replace lost (and increasingly more expensive) refrigerant gases.
WEATHERITE GEARS UP FOR GROWTH
WEATHERITE GEARS UP FOR GROWTH
Eleven shining new vans have been added to the Weatherite Service & Maintenance fleet to help keep pace with the companies impressive growth.
The new VW Transporter vans will all be used by engineers in Weatherite Services & Maintenance division - and it's not just a matter of making sure that Weatherite looks smart on the road, they have been kitted out to ensure that the engineers can work smarter, too.
"We realise that although each of our engineers operates to the same high standards, they all have their own unique way of working. So to help them work more efficiently in and around the van each engineer was given a budget to rack out their vans to their individual specification. After-all, at Weatherite we pride ourselves on providing bespoke solutions for our customers, so it makes perfect sense to extend that flexibility to our engineers,” commented Ricky Brookes, General Manager, Weatherite Service & Maintenance.
