Apprentice Technical Applications Engineer
Within the data centre/telecom technical team
The position will involve supporting the technical team. Duties will include:
assisting with the design, technical schedules, cost estimations, energy calculations and quotations for new and existing products;
supporting the team during design and development projects, including in-house / site testing;
assisting with technical queries from inside and outside of the business;
upkeep of standard and new product BOM’s on Weatherite M1 system;
upkeep of department records;
liaising with other departments and site engineers;
liaising with clients.
As well as internal training, this position will involve day release at a local college to obtain the appropriate qualification.
Please note that the minimum age for this position is 18 due to the requirement to attend work sites on occasion. Note that these site visits may also involve working outside of usual hours and staying away from home on occasion.
A full driving licence will also be required in due course.
The first stage of selection for this role will be successful completion of literacy and numeracy and mechanical aptitude tests.
